About Us

The European Kratom Alliance

The European Kratom Alliance Stichting (EKA) is a consumer advocacy organization, which fights for your right to consume and use Kratom safely. We are a foundation based in the Netherlands, that is supported by some of the biggest European Kratom vendors. We collaborate closely with the American Kratom Association, and our partners in Europe and beyond.

For years the situation of Kratom in Europe has been very unclear, with various governments prohibiting or restricting Kratom consumption. Different Kratom vendors and users have struggled to adjust to the numerous legislative demands of European governments. Which often would result in a complete ban in numerous European countries.

The idea of forming EKA has been floating for a couple of years. In August 2021, the World Health Organization announced that it will look into Kratom and possibly ban it under international treaties as a controlled substance. In order to fight back, we have created Kratomban.eu website, on which we have gathered a large number of testimonies, that were passed to the WHO.

Our actions focus on active advocacy and education about the benefits and safe usage of Kratom. EKA is committed to harm reduction and scientific proof. There are many myths about Kratom, that EKA will have to debunk.
